Why am I organising this visual mailart exhibition?

My first touch with mailart was in 1998, when, experimentally and keened on by a wellknown artist, Thomai Kontou, I took part in a couple of exhibitions.

Realising that seven years have passed and this movement is still unknown and uncommon in my country, I decided to organise the first MailArt exhibition ever took place in Greece, with the help of Thomai and the "Consulate of Culture".

I hope you all enjoy our effort but most of it you enjoy the work of various global artists. Let us be the inspiration of many of the following mailart events in Greece and the world.

The "Consulate of Culture" Society

The “Consulate of Culture” Society is a non-profit greek association placing great interest in cultural events and art in general. In the last few months our Society presented a number of cultural events in the district of Elassona. At this point, we are very proud to present Ioanna's Mail Art project called "Psychedelic" in our web gallery and co-operate in presenting the physical show in the Cultural Center of Elassona.
